The UK Study Programme (海外語学実習) aims to facilitate the development of the participating students into global citizens. In the summer of 2023, FPU students will stay in Bath in homestay accommodation for a total of 14 nights. Participating students will receive a total of 30 hours of English language instruction at Bath College, plus 5 hours of additional study with Gale. The classes will (1) focus on the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing; (2) feature pair work and group work, and (3) encourage the asking and answering of questions and the expressing of opinions. The classes will also prepare students for the day trips to places of cultural interest they will undertake on each of the Saturdays they are in the UK. Before going to the UK, students will take a 22.5-hour preparation course (海外語学実習事前指導), attendance for which is compulsory for all students participating in the UK Study Programme.
